Background

Five Talents currently supports three microfinance programmes in India located in Chennai, Cuttack and Nagpur. The Chennai programme is linked with the Diocese of Madras and covers coastal areas which suffered in the Tsunami of December 2004. The Cuttack programme supports a self-help organisation called UTHAN, an NGO linked with the Diocese of Cuttack. The Nagpur programme works with Community Development Services (CDS) an NGO linked with the Church of North India. All are overseen by Five Talents' cooperation with the All India Association for MicroEnterprise Development (AIAMED) - a professional consultancy specialising in Indian microfinance schemes.
